Why Reiki?

Reiki was discovered in Japan in the mid 1800’s by Dr. Mikao Usui. He opened his first practice in 1922.

According to practitioners, the healing effects are mediated by channeling the universal energy known as qi, pronounced “chi.” In India, this is known as “prana.” This is the same energy involved in tai chi exercise. It is the life force energy that some believe surrounds all of us.

Our Reiki Practitioner has years of experience working to help not only reduce stress but relieve pain. She has been a volunteer for hospice, worked with women to help with confidence and even weight loss.

Reiki is a therapy often described as palm healing or hands-on-body healing in which a practitioner places hands lightly on or over a client’s body to facilitate the process of healing.

It is considered “the acupuncture without needles”. Stay fully clothed and relax on our warm, padded massage table, close your eyes and let your practitioner guide you into full relaxation by holding areas of tension, stuck energy and pain. This is the perfect session to relieve chronic stress patterns in your body. This session will include essential oils that will be chosen specifically for you and your desired outcome
